Playwright: Aaron Posner, adapted from the novel by Kaye Gibbons. Sets: David P. Gordon. Lights: Tom Turner. Costumes: Mimi O'Donnell. Music: John Stovicek.
An early adaptation of an amazing book dealing with domestic violence, racism, and an almost Dickensian array of troubles suffered by a bright, hopeful, ignorant young white girl in North Carolina in the 1960’s and 70’s. It was an honor to work on.
“...it has irrepressable charm and all of the earmarks of a minor classic.”
