My first Midsummer, and the opening of our new, main theatre in our New Home at the Arden was quite an event. It was an all-star cast of the best actors in Philadelphia at the time, many of which are still my long-time collaborators. It was ambitious, beautiful and magical– with a few magic tricks from Teller who “helped out”, leading to future collaborations...
“...is chockablock with playful fancy, a production as respectful of the script’s luminous sense of wonder as of its knockabout humor. Ebulliently directed by Aaron Posner, it’s a Midsummerat once of our time and all times.”
